An international scientific practical conference on “Action Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan: macroeconomic stability, investment activity and prospects for innovative development” was held at Tashkent State University of Economics.
It was attended by famous scientists from Australia, Germany, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, the United Kingdom, representatives of diplomatic corps, international organizations and foreign companies, heads of higher education institutions and scientific research institutions of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, academicians and scientists.
The purpose of this conference is in scientific-theoretical and scientific-methodical assessment of opinions expressed on this matter, supporting and widely implementing scientific research of young economists.
At the conference, reports were heard by academicians, scientists and practitioners on the reforms implemented in the third priority area of the Action Strategy – economic development and support of active entrepreneurship. It was also noted that special attention is paid to further strengthening macroeconomic stability, maintaining tight monetary and credit policy, ensuring price stability in the domestic market, implementing tax and budget reforms in the country.
Important economic issues, in particular, forecast indicators related to ensuring economic growth as a result of liberalization of foreign economic activity and the foreign exchange market, improvement of investment environment, creation of an effective market economy by reducing the rates of customs duties were discussed.
