In support of small businessTashkent hosted a meeting of the Central Council of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on which was discussed and adopted an action plan to achieve the objectives set out in the report of the President Islam Karimov at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the socio-economic development of the country in 2014 and most important priorities economic program for 2015.

Small business and private entrepreneurship is dynamically developing, acquiring an increasingly important role in the economy of our country. This also contributes to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, which has always supported the sector of the economy, reports National Information Agency.

According to Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alisher Shaykhov, over the past year CCI implemented voluminous work on the development of small business and private entrepreneurship in the country. In particular, consultations were held for businesses on the assessment of the business climate, business environment, permit procedures, access to credit and financial resources.

Chamber and its structural divisions regularly in close cooperation with civil society organizations held Days of businessmen. Only in 2014 were attended by more than 100 thousand business entities from all regions of the country. From them arrived more than 14,000 complaints on various issues. Most of them have been reviewed on the spot.

Much attention in the past year has been paid to the implementation of projects aimed at youth involvement in entrepreneurial activities. One of them – the project “My business idea”, 28 winners of which were awarded certificates for a micro-credit funds for more than 312 million soums.

It should be noted that the activities of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan to enhance cooperation of domestic entrepreneurs with foreign partners. Thus, in 2014 in order to attract foreign direct investment CCI assisted in the creation of 56 enterprises with foreign capital.

Outlining targets for 2015 announced by the head of state Year of attention and care for the older generation, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry indicated their top priorities. It is – creation of the most favorable business environment for the development of family businesses, increasing the production and export volumes of domestically produced goods and services on the principle of “single window”, the development of e-commerce.
