The training center of the Council of Federation of Trade Unions organized and held a “round table” on the topic “Implementation of adequate work country programmes and social aspects of mechanization of the agricultural sector”, according to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, the Council of Federation of Trade Unions, the Chamber of Commerce of Uzbekistan, relevant ministries and agencies, research institutions in the country, the International Labour Organization (ILO), the World Bank (WB) and others.
During the “round table” was discussed the process of implementation of the components of Uzbekistan adopted “country programs for decent work,” our country’s cooperation with the World Bank for the modernization of agriculture of the Republic, as well as issues of monitoring by a third party and a feedback mechanism in the WB project in Uzbekistan.
At the event, it was noted that the Uzbek government attaches great importance to cooperation with international organizations in improving labor law, attaches great importance to the implementation of labor standards set out in international conventions ratified by Uzbekistan ILO.
Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation, gave a presentation on the measures taken in the Republic of crop diversification and modernization of agriculture.
In the report on the activities of the Federation of Trade Unions to implement the concept of decent work was highlighted positive role held together with ILO experts work to improve legal literacy, in which organized seminars and meetings in many parts of the country.
Representatives of the ILO noted that the Committee of Experts appreciates the measures taken to implement the fundamental ILO Conventions ratified by the Republic, as well as efforts to create jobs and youth employment.
