Inha University in Tashkent can open “Logistics” faculty from next academic year. Issues of opening of new faculty was discussed during the visit of the President of Inha University (South Korea) Mrs. Choe Soonja to Inha University in Tashkent.
On 11 August 2015, a delegation of Inha University led by its President Mrs. Choe Soonja arrived in Tashkent.
On 12 August, the delegation met with the rector of Inha University in Tashkent Sherzod Shermatov. After the talks, the sides signed a memorandum of faculty fostering programme, which envisages to increase number of teachers with preserving quality of education and providing opportunity to obtain PhD degree in South Koreas.
The plan of joint action was also signed, which agrees measures on further cooperation and simplification of relations between the universities and agreement on handing over 2,600 books to the Inha University in Tashkent was also inked.
The sides also discussed issues of opening new “Logistics” faculty at the university in Tashkent form next academic year.
The South Korean delegation familiarized with the Inha University in Tashkent and conditions created for students and teachers, laboratories and facilities.
Mrs. Choe Soonja awarded top-scored students at IUT Entrance Exam with a certificate stating the full scholarship opportunity given by IUT.
It is worth to mention that 3 of ten grant receivers – Ulugbek Samigjanov, Jahangir Nematov and Temur Kadirov – collected the maximum possible points in entry exams.
Mrs. Choe Soonja also visited Tashkent University of Information Technologies and met rector Hakim Muhiddinov. The Uzbek side presented information on activities of the university. Mrs. Choe Soonja also familiarized with the university, its labs. She also visited cottages of national bank, where she familiarized with living conditions of the Korean professors.
On 13 August, the guest visited National Library of Alisher Navoi and held meeting with the director Asadjon Hodjaev. She also visited Ministry for information technologies and communication.
