Inspectorate began to function

Regional branch of the State Inspectorate on Quality Supervision under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan started functioning in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

In accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures of further development of the higher education system” of April 20, 2017, the State Inspectorate on Quality Supervision of Education has been established under the Cabinet of Ministers on the basis of Department on quality control of personnel training, certification of teachers and educational institutions of the State testing center. Its main tasks are implementation of the state policy on taking control over the quality of educational upbringing process, the teaching staff, training and advanced training of personnel in the education system.

The inspection carries out certification and state accreditation of educational institutions, regardless of their departmental subordination and forms of ownership, reveals the rating of educational institutions. It also issues licenses to non-state educational institutions, organizes recognition and nostrification of documents issued to persons studying abroad, examines documents recommended for permission of foreign educational institutions’ activities on the territory of the country, puts an apostille on official documents issued by educational and scientific research institutions.

At the same time, the Inspectorate studies the compliance of students’ knowledge with state educational standards, selects them, monitors the training of personnel and organizes internal certification in a higher educational institution.

Over the past period, the personnel of the regional department have conducted a considerable work. In particular, the non-state educational center “Nukus Ziyoda Nur”, which started its activity in Nukus, was given explanations on recognition and nostrification of diplomas of citizens who graduated from foreign universities. In addition, practical assistance was rendered to the non-state preschool educational institution “Shirintoy sayyorasi” of Beruni district in preparing documents for submission to the state inspectorate for obtaining a license.
