Westminster International University in Tashkent hosted a meeting dedicated to the Day of European Languages. It was organized by the British Council office in Uzbekistan in cooperation with the German Cultural Centre named after I. Goete and the French Embassy in our country.
Every year this date is celebrated on September 26 and symbolizes the linguistic and cultural diversity of Europe.
The meeting was divided into two parts, designed for teachers and students. First there was a presentation on the topic “Teaching culture and language” with the participation of Uzbek and European experts.
In the second part of the event linguists from France, Germany, Great Britain held master classes for teachers and students on the latest methods of teaching foreign languages.
In addition to informative presentations quiz on knowledge of the language of cultural diversity of European countries was organized for students.
