International festival of applied arts

The I International festival of applied arts in Tashkent, causes admiration and surprise among the audience, embraces creative people with new inspiration. An event dedicated to the opening of this festival was held at the Central Exhibition Hall of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.

Representatives of international organizations, the diplomatic corps, domestic and foreign artisans, art historians, students, art admirers are invited to the festival organized by the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan jointly with partner organizations.

This creative project, implemented by the Academy of Arts in cooperation with the ministries of Culture, Higher and Secondary Special Education, Foreign Affairs, the “Hunarmand” Association, the National TV and Radio Company, the National News Agency, the Union of Youth and other organizations, gives an opportunity to demonstrate the progress achieved in the years of independence in the sphere of applied arts. This festival is important for further development of international creative cooperation, ensuring the continuity of traditions of the “master-student” school.

The festival is being attended by masters and artisans from Azerbaijan, China, Germany, Great Britain, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Russia, South Korea, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Exhibitions, master classes, presentations, creative dialogues, meetings and conferences, fashion shows will be held within the framework of the festival. At the first exhibition, samples of national embroidery, clothing design, batik art, patchwork are presented within the framework of the project.
