International organ music project

The major international project GRAVITY BACH is a 22-hour organ music marathon that will be broadcast live worldwide on ARTE Concert, SVT Sweden, and TV Cultura Brazil on October 31, 2025.

The marathon will include 14 concerts interspersed with thirteen 15-minute intermissions featuring short films, one of which will represent Uzbekistan.

Among the participants is Professor Munira Aminova, a distinguished pedagogue, master of organ music, and Honored Mentor of Youth of the Republic of Uzbekistan, representing the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan.

Thanks to this project, the global cultural community will learn that the birthplace of organ music in Central Asia is the Tashkent Conservatory (now the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan).

It was here, on the initiative of the Conservatory’s own professors, that the first organ in the region was installed. Notably, it was the Tashkent faculty who carried out the first transportation of an organ in the former USSR after the end of World War II. Of the five organs once located in Tashkent, three were housed in the Conservatory itself.

The third and newest organ of the Conservatory is the largest, finest, and most valuable in Central Asia, securing Uzbekistan’s leading position in the region, once again, thanks to the outstanding achievements of the Tashkent Conservatory.
