An international conference on “The state of improving the public administration system at present stage: international best practices and experience of Uzbekistan” was held in Tashkent. The event was organized in cooperation with the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the ministries of justice, the development of information technologies and communications, the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Development Strategy Center, the British Embassy in Uzbekistan, the United Nations Development Programme and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (Germany).
The event was attended by representatives of the parliament and state bodies of Uzbekistan, international experts from Azerbaijan, China, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Russia, the United Kingdom.
Speakers at the conference highly appreciated the work carried out in Uzbekistan on improvement of the system of public administration, emphasized that effective international cooperation has been established in this area.
Participants of the event expressed their views, became acquainted with possibilities of a special web portal “Mening Fikrim” (“My opinion”). Following the conference, proposals were developed on deepening reforms in the system of public administration.
