International recognition of Uzbek model of reforms

recognition

The book «Reviews of foreign socio-political and expert circles on the report of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov at the enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the socio-economic development in 2015 and the most important priorities of economic program for 2016» has been published in Uzbekistan. This book contains views of leading experts and professionals from all over the world, representing the most authoritative international and national structures.

In this regard, Executive Committee of UzLiDeP and its faction in the Legislative Chamber held the enlarged meeting to discuss the content of this book on April 14, 2016.

The successful results of large-scale reforms implemented in our country since independence, is widely recognized by international foreign official circles. Subject of special attention from foreign socio-political and expert circles is well thought-out long-term program of reforms, is now recognized worldwide as the “Uzbek model” of development.

Shukhrat Bafoev, deputy of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

«Today’s event shows that the report of Islam Karimov «Our main goal, despite the difficulties, to go forward decidedly, consistently continuing ongoing reforms, structural transformations in economy, creating even more opportunities for development of private property, entrepreneurship and small business» attracted wide positive response both within the country and far beyond it.

This report provides an abundant factual data that illustrates loyalty to the chosen course of country`s reform. In particular, in the past year GDP grew by 8%, industrial output – by 8%, agricultural production – by almost 7%. The annual budget is executed with a surplus of 0.1% of GDP. Not every country in the world shows such growth.

As evidence, I want to quote the words of a senior manager of the Department of International Relations of the company «Nisshin Oillio» Matsuo Deguchi – «During the years of independence, Uzbekistan step by step has radically changed the structure of its economy, which have laid the foundation for its future growth». For its part, the deputies of UzLiDeP will base its work on a new basis for the implementation of parliamentary control.

Special attention at the meeting was paid to the discussion of those aspects of the book, which deals with the implementation of a large-scale work on a radical change in the ownership structure. It was noted that UzLiDeP should continue its work on ensuring reliable protection of private property, small business and private entrepreneurship decrease state presence in economy and eliminating barriers for their fast development.

Suhrob Akobirov activist of UzLiDeP

«The most important priority for Uzbekistan’s economic program is an unconditional continuation of the initiated systemic reforms and modernization and renewal of the economy. A special place in the ongoing reforms attached to rapid development and protection of the interests of private property, entrepreneurship and small business. I’m a businessman and I can see in practice, the correctness and loyalty of reforms implemented under the wise policy of President Islam Karimov.

From this book I stressed the opinion of the Director the World Bank J. Frieden where he noted that the attention given to the private sector will in future play a more active role in the economy of Uzbekistan. Such an assessment by the authoritative structures such as the World Bank shows loyalty to the course, developed under the leadership of Uzbek President Islam Karimov.

In our opinion, the UzLiDeP need to further promote the increased involvement of entrepreneurs and business people in the ongoing reforms in the country»

At the meeting, based on the pre-election program of the party and electoral interests, highlighted the importance of continuing the course to solve the problem by improving the business climate and attract foreign direct investment.

At the end of the meeting stressed that the world’s leading experts believe firmly in the future development of our country.

At the meeting other issues within the competence of UzLiDeP were considered.
