The Exhibition Hall of the State Museum of Arts of Karakalpakstan named after I.V. Savitsky hosted an exhibition entitled “Invitation to dastarkhan”.
The purpose of this exhibition is to familiarize visitors with beautiful works of the museum, most of which are exhibited for the first time, education of population, especially, youth in the spirit of love for beauty and nature, desire to study and preserve the heritage of culture, improve the overall level of culture.
The exhibition “Invitation to dastarkhan” presents still life paintings associated with the image of flowers, fruits, vegetables and various treats. It features paintings of Karakalpak, Uzbek and Russian artists of different periods. The total number of works is more than 50 paintings.
The visitors of the exhibition had an opportunity to become familiar with works of such talented artists as N.Tarasov, S.Kolybanov, P.Shmarov, Y.Taldykin, A.Goldray, Y.Burmakin along with famous artists from Uzbekistan and Russia, such as M.Kurzin, A.N.Volkov, N.Kashina, V.Ufimtsev, E.Korovay, A.Bogdanov, N.Grigoriev, M.Shemyakin and others. The guests also became familiar with beautiful still life paintings of Karakalpak artists J.Izentayeva, A.Shpade, M.Antonova, R.Matevosyan, E.Joldasova.
