IUT conducts videoconference on 2016-2017 admission campaign

Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) has begun online registration for admission to Undergraduate courses for 2016-2017 academic year. In order to organize admission campaign efficiently, IUT organizes various meeting and promotion events in the regions of Uzbekistan for graduates of academic lyceums and professional colleges to familiarize them with admission requirements.

As an addition to these meetings, IUT organized a videoconference on 4 May 2016. Citizens of all 14 regions (12 regions, Karakalpakstan and Tashkent city) of Uzbekistan participated in the videoconference, which was held at 33 premises of the universities and branches of Uzbektelecom. The videoconference helped significantly expand auditorium in the regions of Uzbekistan and widely disseminate information on IUT admission requirements.

Graduates of academic lyceums and colleges, as well as their parents attended the videoconference. Within the event, young people and their parents received information on application process, exams and requirements to the prospective students. They also had chance to talk with the members of IUT Admission Commission face-to-face.

IUT is planning to accept 250 students to the School of Computer and Information Engineering (SOCIE) and 70 students to newly School of Logistics (SOL).

Registration for admission to Undergraduate courses for 2016-2017 academic year is fully conducted in online mode.

Prospective students, who want to apply to IUT, should fill in online registration form at the website of the university, visiting page: http://admissions.inha.uz.

Applicants should provide personal information, secondary school information, official test score, departments choice information as well as scanned documents such as passport, diploma, IELTS or TOELF certificate must be uploaded and submitted.

It is worth to mention that online registration of prospective students will end at 17:00 on 14 July 2016.

Requirements to prospective students

Taking into account that education at IUT is fully in English language, the prospective students should prove their English proficiency by providing certificate of IELTS or TOEFL iBT. Those prospective students, who have no certificates, can participate in closed IELTS exam session, which scheduled for 25 June. Prospective students should register to the exam by 16 MAY at IUT campus.

Only prospective students, who submitted sufficient IELTS or TOELF iBT certificates, will participate in IUT Entrance exams on math and physics for SOCIE and math for Logistics (SOL).

Applicants who applied for SOCIE must have IELTS 5.0 or above or TOEFL iBT 50 or above, and applicants who applied for SOL must have IELTS 6.0 or above or TOEFL iBT 75 or above.

Entrance exams will be held on 29 July 2016. The prospective students should answer to 20 questions on each subject in written form. The exam will last 60 minutes. The exam questions are formed on standard curriculum for secondary education.

Total Score for SOCIE is calculated by sum of 60% of mathematics and 40% of physics scores. Results of the entrance exams will be announced on 12 August 2016.
