Latvian International Women’s Club organized a charity fair at the capital of the country with the participation of representatives of public, political and business circles, international organizations, diplomatic corps and local media, as well as managers of the leading travel agencies.
The President of the Republic of Latvia Raimonds Vejonis visited the fair.
Representatives of 35 countries presented products of decorative and folk art in the event, as well as national cuisine. The main objective of our country’s stand’s organization was the promotion of the Uzbek people’s spiritual values and ideals, popularization of national traditions, rich and unique historical and cultural heritage.
Participants of the event had the opportunity to see the Uzbek craftsmen’s works, various types of clothing, fabrics, souvenirs, ceramics, peculiarities of Uzbek dishes and cooking.
Publications devoted to the Day of the Constitution of our country, its rich historical and cultural heritage, as well as measures taken in the country to promote tourism were distributed during the fair.
Uzbek pavilion, which has a unique flavor, design and rich content, has attracted the attention of visitors, who not only expressed a desire to taste the prepared dishes and photograph against the backdrop of souvenirs but also a personal visit to Uzbekistan.
