January 7, during the regular session of the Legislative chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the deputies reviewed the draft law, which provides for amendments and additions to the laws “On natural monopolies” and “On protection of consumer rights”.
The bill provides the right of appeal of the state and economic management of businesses and private property owners, public associations on the protection of the rights of consumers not only in judiciary, but in subordination to a higher authority with a request to suspend execution of decisions (instructions) of Antimonopoly authority and other regulatory bodies.
This bill will create an opportunity to improve the business environment in the Republic through protection of the rights and interests of businesses and consumers, will provide guarantees for freedom of entrepreneurial activity, according to the message of the information service of the Legislative chamber of the Oliy Majlis.
