Main events of the First International Forum on Ziyorat Tourism kicks off in Bukhara

The forum is organized by the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the assistance of the Committee on Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers, the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, the “Vaqf” Public Charity Fund, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bukhara Regional Khokimiyat, the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
More than 120 representatives from more than 30 countries of the world are attending the event.
At the opening ceremony of the forum, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.Abdukhakimov, Khokim of Bukhara region U.Barnoyev, Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, Mufti U.Alimov emphasized that the main goal of the forum is to promote Uzbekistan’s tourism opportunities throughout the world, as well as turning Uzbekistan to one of the major centers of Islamic world on ziyorat tourism.
Within the framework of the forum, Ambassador’s Certificate will be presented to Tourism Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Indonesia E.S.Margianti. Following the forum, Memorandums will be signed between the National PR Center under the State Committee for Tourism Development and MATTA Association (Malaysia), Crescent Rating (Singapore) within the Global Muslim Traveler Index, Jakarta Promotion Fund (Indonesia).
At the forum held in Bukhara Youth Center, local artisans are conducting master classes in various directions. In particular, master classes in calligraphy, pottery, woodcarving and embossing arouse great interest among foreign guests.
