Today, products produced under the Halal logo are represented in countries such as the European Union, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, China, India, Latin America, New Zealand and Thailand.
Approximately 1,8 billion (24 percent) of the world’s population are Muslims. This also ensures an increase in demand for products produced under the Halal logo.
On the basis of the Resolution of the President “On additional measures of supporting domestic exporters of fruits and vegetables, grapes, melons, legumes, as well as dried vegetables and fruits”, the adoption of “Halal” standard by “Uzstandard” agency for the convenience of entrepreneurs creates a basis for the visit of foreign experts in our country, quality and safety of products manufactured by businessmen of Uzbekistan on the highest standards.
In particular, on February 26, 2018, the Managing Director of Halal International Tourism, Thomas Guerrero from Spain visited Uzbekistan on the initiative of the State Committee on Development of Tourism and met with the leadership of the Committee. Within the framework of the meeting, a workshop on “Halal tourism” was organized for members of the Committee and representatives of its organizations. This was reported by the Press Service of the State Committee on Development of Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
