On June 5-8 this year, it is envisaged to organize a media tour to the Aral Sea for representatives of foreign mass media within the framework of the International Environmental Forum on “Strengthening cooperation in the sphere of sustainable development of Central Asian environment”. This was announced at a briefing held in Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia.
This forum will serve to strengthen international cooperation on issues of environmental protection. Issues of using renewable energy sources, solid waste management, biodiversity conservation, expansion of protected natural areas will be discussed at the forum.
The event will be attended by heads of state bodies in the sphere of environmental protection and water management of many countries, representatives of leading international organizations and financial institutions.
