Meeting of business circles of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan

On April 12, 2018 the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan jointly with Tashkent city khokimiyat organized negotiations between business circles of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan within the framework of the visit of the akim (governor) of Almata region Batalov Amandyk Gabbasovich to the Republic of Uzbekistan, in the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Tashkent.

The event was attended by 19 companies of Kazakhstan engaged in production of batteries, non-insulated and insulated wires, fire-fighting equipment, aluminum profiles, paper and cardboard products, interior and exterior paints, flour, barite, gypsum mixtures, special clothes for industrial structures, starch and starch products from corn, polypropylene bag.

More than 60 companies, interested in further development of bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation with Kazakhstan partners, took part from the Uzbek side.

The head of the delegation Batalov Amandyk Gabbasovich, akim of Almaty region emphasized positive dynamics of Uzbekistan’s economic growth, welcomed the efforts of the government of the republic on liberalization of various sectors of the economy, creation of necessary conditions for foreign investors.

It should be noted that 2018 is declared in Kazakhstan as the Year of Uzbekistan.

In 2017, the trade turnover increased by 8.6% and amounted to USD 2,062.0 million. Currently, there are 281 enterprises with participation of Kazakhstan capital (238 joint ventures and 43 enterprises with 100% Kazakhstan capital) in Uzbekistan, 14 companies of Kazakhstan are accredited in the country.

The visit of the delegation will last until April 15. The delegation will visit Andijan, Fergana, Samarkand regions. A concert program “Days of Almaty region in Uzbekistan” (“Turkestan” Palace) with the exhibition of craftsmen of Almaty region will be organized.
