January, 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with his colleague of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov in Nyu-York, as reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan
During the meeting the sides exchanged views on a range of issues of bilateral cooperation.
It was noted that 2017 will enter the history of Uzbek-Russian relations with high dynamics and active contacts at high and other levels, expansion and deepening of cooperation in traditional and new areas.
At the meeting special attention was paid to practical steps on realization of the agreements reached during the meetings of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Russia Vladimir Putin in a variety of formats.
The sides also exchanged views on regional security issues, situation in Afghanistan and on the future meetings.
