The people’s health issues committee of the Oliy Majlis (parliament) of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established on 4 January.
A gathering has been held in the lower chamber on this committee’s tasks for the year 2018.
Experts and specialists of the medical sphere attended the gathering, and they expressed their opinions on important areas of the further development of the health system.
From now on, the committee’s members will be working not on a piece of paper in an office but will actually be visiting places, every medical establishment and people’s homes.
The committee’s members decided to help solve problems relating to a shortage of qualified personnel at medical establishments and to further develop the private sector in the health care sphere.
