Ministers of Energy of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan signed a roadmap for the construction of Kambarata-1 HPP

The Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, the Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Taalaibek Ibraev and the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Bolat Akchulakov signed a roadmap for the construction of the Kambarata-1 HPP, in Bishkek.

According to the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan, the parties determined the main conditions and necessary measures for the implementation of the project.

The project envisages putting into operation a reservoir with a capacity of 5.4 billion cubic meters and a hydroelectric power plant with a capacity of 1,860 MW. As a result, it will be possible to produce an average of 5.6 billion kWh of electricity per year.
