Ministry for Development of ITC of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan signed an agreement

Within the framework of the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Uzbekistan on April 23-24, 2018, the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan signed an Agreement on technical basis for coordination of radio frequency assignments in 29.7 – 960 MHz radio frequency, used by radio services of the Republic Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

As reported by the Press Service of the Ministry for Development of ITC, the document was prepared within the framework of the Agreement of the same name between the Governments of the two countries on the decision of the Republican Council on Radio Frequencies.

The signed interdepartmental agreement defines technical conditions for the use of radio frequencies and radio electronic equipment (radio stations) for ensuring their electromagnetic compatibility, that is, the noiseless work in the border areas of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

It should be noted that coordination of frequency assignments to radio stations of land mobile, fixed and broadcasting services will be carried out on the basis of technical parameters and conditions agreed upon by the administrations of the two states.
