Implemented measures on development of railway transport organization serve for development of passenger and cargo transportation at the level of most modern requirements. In this regard, an important role is played by the completion of the technical fleet with the most modern locomotives and comfortable wagons.
Currently, the joint-stock company “Uzbekistan Temir Yollari” has been updated for more than 50 percent of the available locomotives. Expansion of electrified railways allows for a comfortable and high-speed electric locomotives.
Supply in accordance with the decision of the Head of our state on measures to implement the project “Renewal of locomotive fleet. Acquisition of 11 electric freight locomotives. Stage 2” with the participation of the People’s Republic of China Eximbank on March 4, 2015 eleven locomotives “O’z-ELR” was still one practical result of reforms aimed at creating in our country a unified network of modern railways.
Electric made a Chinese consortium “CNTIC” – Dalian locomotive plant, which for several years is working with the company “Uzbekistan Temir Yollari” to update the locomotive fleet.
In the production of electric locomotives the manufacturer focuses on creation of facilities in their operation, maintenance and repair. In development of design, brake system and system of microprocessor locomotive control, Uzbek railway specialists participated along with Chinese experts.
– New electric locomotives designed to carry heavy loads in the mountains differ from locomotives of this class a number of advantages, – the head of JSC “Uzbekistan Railways” Nusratillo Abdullayev says. – In particular, thanks to the modern brakes and complex security power consumption is reduced by five to eight percent. Meet international requirements for environmental safety of the locomotive is equipped with environmentally friendly asynchronous traction motors, microprocessor system, fault recording, the production company “Toshiba” (Japan). The term of generation of resources through the use of modern composite materials increased by 15 percent.
Electric power of 7200 kW, speed – 120 kilometers per hour. Applicable on new locomotives modern technology along with energy savings allow to reduce fuel consumption by 2-2.5 times.
Acquired joint-stock company “Uzbekistan Temir Yollari” new locomotives “O’z-ELR” will serve as a further increase in cargo volumes.
