More than ten documents will be submitted for signature at the OTS Summit

This was announced today at a briefing by Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov.
Several meetings and events with the participation of the Head of the state will take place this week.

Today in the first half of the day the President of Uzbekistan met with the Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Zurab Pololikashvili. An exchange of views took place on the upcoming 25th session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization in the city of Samarkand in 2023 and on organizational issues.

Today, the Head of the state will hold a meeting on the available opportunities for further development of local industry and the mobilization of new reserves.

Within a week, it is planned to provide a report to the President of the country on the execution of the task on an open dialogue between the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and entrepreneurs.

This week, Samarkand will host another important international event.

On November 11, Samarkand will host the first summit of the Organization of Turkic States (this is the first summit after the name of the Organization at the Istanbul meeting in 2021 was changed).

It is expected that the event will be attended by the heads of 5 member states of the Organization – Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and 2 observer states – Turkmenistan and Hungary.

It is also planned that the summit will be attended by the Secretary General of the Organization, the Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking States (TURKPA), the Acting President of the International Turkic Academy, President of Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States.

The agenda provides for the discussion of issues of further accelerating cooperation in trade, economic, transport, culture and tourism sectors, as well as an exchange of views on international and regional issues.
