On April 25, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the residence allocated for him in Beijing, met with the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

It was noted that the highest-level visit to Uzbekistan last year opened a new page in the history of bilateral relations, brought them to a qualitatively new level and filled them with practical substance.
The two sides reviewed in detail the implementation of the agreements reached. The leaders stressed with satisfaction the dynamic growth of bilateral trade.

Cooperation projects with leading Belarusian companies Amkodor, MAZ, MTZ and others in various industries are being successfully realized. The exchanges among the regions of the two countries has noticeably intensified. Effective cooperation is conducted in science, technology and education.
Solid mutual trust and resolution to achieve concrete practical goals provides many opportunities for furthering and consolidating the cooperation. The parties emphasized that there is potential today necessary for its development.
Issues related to boosting the bilateral trade, implementing joint innovation programs and cooperation projects in mechanical engineering, agriculture, food industry, information technologies, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, tourism, education, culture and other areas were discussed at the meeting.
Views were also exchanged on international and regional issues.
The heads of state expressed their readiness to continue an active dialogue at different levels in order to effectively promote new areas of partnership.
