New homes provided for people with limited abilities

Strong social protection, the provision of comprehensive support for low-income families and people with limited abilities and the creation of decent living conditions for them are among priority areas of the state’s policy. In the Year of Dialogue with the People and Human Interests, the scale of work in this area further expanded.

In the town of Nukus, the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 42 people with limited physical abilities in need of accommodation have been provided with new apartments. This is a vivid example of a policy of strong social protection being conducted in this country under the leadership of the President.

On a three-storey building, formerly the hostel of an academic lyceum in the “Quneqqala” neighbourhood of the town of Nukus, 922 m soms worth of reconstruction work was carried out.

All the necessary conditions were created there for people to live. Among those who acquired these new apartments on the basis of preferential credits is Guliston Abdukarimova, category one person with a disability. She is dependent on her parents living in the Gulzor neighbourhood of the town.

“This new home is better than I thought. There are all the necessary conveniences in there. I am very grateful to the President for this good work,” says Guliston Abdukarimova.

During the event, the chairman of the Joqorghi Kenges (high council) of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, M.Yerniyazov, made a speech.
