OGU 2019: Global trends, opinions of leaders in the oil and gas industry

On May 15-16, within the framework of OGU 2019 exhibition, the 23rd International Conference “Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan OGU 2019” was held at the International Tashkent Hotel, where global trends in the fuel and energy complex of Uzbekistan were discussed.
The conference was organized by Iteca Exhibitions with the official support of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
The conference was attended by leading experts and heads of the largest oil companies in the world, investors, representatives of government agencies, international banks, associations, chambers of commerce, and private companies. More than 700 delegates from 32 countries took part in the conference.
The first day of the conference was devoted to the new geopolitics of the oil and gas industry, the concept of developing the country’s oil and gas industry until 2030, possible ways and strategy for developing oil production in Uzbekistan, prospects for partnership, expanding the geography of exports and attracting investments to the oil and gas industry of Uzbekistan were discussed.

On the second day, the speakers discussed innovative solutions for gas monetization, large-scale modernization of the gas chemical products production using the MTO technology in Uzbekistan, applying the experience of international consulting companies in development of the oil and gas industry.
The events promoted further cooperation of science and industry, the inflow of investments, and the increase in the industrial and export potential of the industry. Moreover, the favorable investment climate created in the country will further contribute to the implementation of large projects.
