Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan
The holiday of Navruz, for centuries embodies the noble values and fine traditions of our people, their good intentions and aspirations, which is an invaluable heritage of our ancestors, in the years of independence has become a truly national holiday, the offensive is looking forward to all our fellow citizens, regardless of their nationality, language and religion.
Taking into account the growing role and importance of Navruz, which symbolizes the beginning of the new year on the Eastern calendar, the awakening of nature, the harmony of man and the world, a truly national, the most favorite holiday of the people, the further strengthening of our society an atmosphere of kindness and understanding, humanity, generosity and creativity, upbringing the young generation in the spirit of national and universal values, with a view to its holding at a high level:
- To approve the composition of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the national holiday of Navruz in 2016 according to the appendix.
Organizing Committee within ten days to develop a plan of organizational and practical, cultural and educational activities aimed at implementation of Navruz in our capital – the city of Tashkent, the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regional centers in all the cities, districts and villages as a popular sayil (celebration fest).
- In the process of preparation of an action plan to focus on:
organization of spiritual and educational activities to promote awareness of the fact that in the days of Navruz people more fully feels its inextricable link with nature, native land, even more appreciative of her generous gifts and imbued with a sense of gratitude for the present days of peace;
coverage of history of Navruz, the nature and value of its associated values, customs and traditions during the events in all the cities and villages, in the media;
conduct of charitable activities aimed at the full manifestation of the attention and care of the older generation representatives, providing selfless assistance to all people in need of support, imbued with the spirit and philosophy of Navruz – the ideas of kindness and mercy, friendship and harmony;
organization in the days of Navruz, which is the symbol of the beginning of the new season in agriculture, renewal of life – in the communities, towns and villages khashars, extensive work on landscaping and gardening;
involvement in the preparation of the festive program in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city centers, folklore groups, amateur groups, family ensembles, folk storytellers – Bakhshi, as well as professional artists and talented singers on a competitive basis;
inclusion in the holiday program the best examples of folk art, classical music and songs lapar glorifying ancient customs and traditions, noble human feelings and qualities.
- To establish that the festive events funded:
in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and all regions – at the expense of local budgets, as well as sponsor organizations;
in the city of Tashkent – at the expense of the republican budget and the local budget of the city of Tashkent in equal shares.
- To recommend National Information Agency of Uzbekistan, National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan, Jahon Information Agency and other media to publicize the process of preparation and conduct of the national holiday Navruz.
- To assign control over the implementation of the present decision to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.Mirziyoyev.
