On April 23-24, the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
During the bilateral meetings and negotiations at the highest level, it is planned to discuss issues of strengthening and developing multifaceted Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan relations, current regional and international problems in traditionally friendly and confidential environment.
The program of the visit also includes participation of the heads of states in the opening ceremony of the Ashgabat Park in the city of Tashkent, which should become one of the bright symbols of friendship and good-neighborliness between the two countries and people, visiting the border region of Khorezm.
Within the framework of the visit, a business forum of representatives of the leading economic structures of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will be held.
Following the negotiations, it is planned to adopt a Joint Statement of the Heads of states, and sign a significant package of documents aimed at further strengthening bilateral cooperation in political, trade, economic, investment, transport, communication, education spheres and in sports.
