July 27, 2016 a regular meeting of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held.
The meeting was chaired by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Chairman of the Security Council Islam Karimov.
The following issues were discussed: security and neutralization of threats and challenges on the southern borders of the country, consolidation of cooperation with neighboring states in the region to combat terrorism and extremism.
The meeting was attended by officials of government and relevant departments.
