On June 14, 2015 city of Rizhao (China) held the 13th round of the Uzbek-Chinese political consultations between foreign ministries.
The Chinese side was represented by a delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Cheng Guoping.
They discussed the state and prospects of bilateral relations, progress in implementing the agreements reached at the summit talks in September 2013 in Uzbekistan in May 2014 in China.
It was pointed out that regular Uzbek-Chinese political dialogue allows progressively develop and strengthen the multifaceted relations of strategic partnership between the two countries in almost all spheres of cooperation.
On the eve of opening the next day in Rizhao third session of the Uzbek-Chinese Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee and the Uzbek-Chinese business forum, the parties paid special attention to the prospects for deepening cooperation in trade, economic, financial and investment fields. As noted, in 2007, bilateral trade has increased almost 6 times and now exceeds 5.2 billion USD.
The sides also exchanged views on priority areas for further expansion of cooperation in the cultural and educational spheres, discussed the issues of cooperation within international organizations, global and regional issues.
