Continuation of measures within the framework of economic reforms in Uzbekistan contributed to the dynamic development of the service sector. As a result, the volume of production of services in January-March 2018 amounted to 31910,1 billion soums. This was reported by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics.
The largest volume of market services is observed in transport services, trade services, financial services, communication services and information services in the field of education.
The reforms carried out within the framework of liberalization of foreign exchange policy, expansion of lending to promising investment projects, as well as provision of innovative services by financial institutions have had an impact on the increase in the volume of financial services.
In January-March 2018, the volume of financial services was equal to 4333,8 billion soums (13,6% of the total services). The growth rate compared to the same period of last year was 130,3 %.
