Open discussion of investment proposals

On July 12, the first meeting of a single platform for open discussion of investment proposals of foreign and local investors was held.

This meeting will be held every week with investors in various sectors: energy, mechanical engineering, food industry, pharmaceutical industry, tourism, education and so on.

The organizer of these weekly meetings is the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Investments with participation of the Commissioner for the Protection of Rights and Legal Interests of Business Entities under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Participants of the single platform for open discussion of investment proposals are representatives of diplomatic missions of foreign countries in Uzbekistan, heads of state and economic management bodies. The first meeting was held with participation of Commissioner for the Protection of Rights and Legal Interests of Business Entities under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It should be noted that this platform promotes informed potential investors about the country’s available resource and industrial potential, as well as for establishing a direct and constructive dialogue between local and foreign investors and state bodies.

During the discussion of investment proposals, acceptable investment options, systemic issues requiring comprehensive consideration and a consistent solution will be identified. A mechanism for prompt resolution of private problems of investors will be also created in a single platform.

As reported by the Press Service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, each meeting will be held in the format of “open doors” with discussion of issues on specific sectors of the economy – oil and gas, chemical, textile and others.
