At the OSCE headquarters in Vienna, information material was distributed as an official document. Material informs about the mechanisms of outreaching laws to officials and public in Uzbekistan.
It has been prepared on the basis of the round table “The international experience of outreaching adopted laws to officials and public: legal regulation and practical aspects”, held in Tashkent on June 24, 2015.
The document provides information on activities in the country large-scale work on the implementation of the unified state policy in the sphere of application of the law.
It is noted that the Government of the Republic approved the procedure for dissemination of legal acts, according to which implemented a system of mandatory publication of their projects on the websites of ministries and departments.
General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other agencies conducted wide explanatory work among the population, carried out active propaganda legislation, strengthening of interaction of judicial and law enforcement authorities with the media and civil society organizations.
Special attention in the document given to measures to increase the use for this purpose of information and communication technologies.
In particular, the Ministry of Justice for timely informing the public organized by the portal LEX.uz, who is on-line provides easy access to legal and other acts of legislation in electronic form.
It is also noted that the Ministry for the development of information and communication technologies, together with agencies involved continues to implement a package of measures to create a single government portal, which will further enhance the ability of government agencies on legal advocacy.
Thus, the document stresses that in Uzbekistan involved a wide range of government agencies, non-governmental organizations, research and educational institutions that enable prompt and timely manner, the adopted laws to all persons and bodies concerned to provide timely familiarization with their requirements.
