The only project in Central Asia for the production of various types of paper used in industry has been launched in Samarkand region’s Narpay district under the coordination of Samarkand Regional Division of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade (MIFT).
According to MIFT, the cost of the project implemented by NBA ALLIANZ LLC is $13 million, of which $5.5 million is foreign direct investment. This project, which is also part of the localization program for producing imported products, is designed to produce 30 thousand tons of various export-oriented types of cardboard per year. At the same time, the volume of exports will amount to at least $5 million.
80 people were employed as a result of the project. In the first quarter of 2023, the company plans to expand its activities and create 70 new jobs.
