From November 9 to December 7, Tashkent will host the exhibition entitled “Path to the Future: the art of Japan’s new generation “. Exhibition is organized by the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Japanese Foundation, with the assistance of the International Caravanserai of Culture of Ikuo Hirayama of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.
This exhibition focuses on the art of Japan in the early 21st century. It presents 42 works of art – paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs and videos – from eleven young Japanese artists who in recent years have attracted the attention of masses. They are Atsushi Fukui, Katsuhiro Saiki, Masafumi Sanai, Maywa Denki, Miyuki Yokomizo, Nobuyuki Takahashi, Satoshi Hirose, Tabaimo, Tetsuya Nakamura, Tomoyasu Murata and Yoshihiro Suda. They take the objects for the creativity from their immediate surroundings and show art that reflects their personal life. Their works have a strong visual impact and show great interest in the creation of things.
At the opening ceremony, which will take place on 8 November at 17:30 at the International Caravanserai of Culture of Ikuo Hirayama the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Uzbekistan Nobuaki Ito will address the guests.
