In the conference hall of the National Library of Uzbekistan named after A.Navoi held a presentation of the book “Jahon adabiyoti durdonalari” (“Pearls of world literature”), according to the press service of the library.
The event was attended by representatives of the embassies of France, Japan, Switzerland, folk writers, journalists, translators, as well as teachers and students of the Uzbek State World Languages University and Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies.
The book contains the masterpieces of world literature classics Jean-Baptiste Poquelin Moliere, Jean de La Fontaine, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Honoré de Balzac, Kobo Abe. In addition to translations of the Uzbek language a short biography, aphorisms, the chronology of the life and work and a bibliography of works of celebrities is presented in the book.
During the presentation, interpreters and compilers have expressed their intention to devote the next edition of the literary masterpieces of European, American and Asian writers.
