Pottery and ceramics festival

Artisans from all over the country, as well as foreign tourists are taking part in the international festival of pottery and ceramics in Rishtan district of Fergana region.

Rishtan ceramics and miniatures are famous among art fans all over the world. They are unique and do not repeat the pottery samples of any region, they are applied complex patterns of peculiar vegetation and on the theme of still lifes, cheerful picturesque coloring, free painting. These works of art were demonstrated at various international exhibitions and fairs in the USA, the United Kingdom, France, Poland, Sweden, Iraq, Iran, Egypt and other countries, won recognition of the world community. This shows the incomparable talent of Rishtan potters.

Products of Rishtan potters are distinguished by their design, natural color and patterns in the form of pepper. Rishtan ceramics and miniatures for sale in cities such as Bukhara, Samarkand and Khiva are of great interest to tourists from all over the world, as a result, demand for these arts is growing day-by-day. Once in the workshop of any Rishtan masters, you can see how hard and with what inspiration they work.

Rishtan pottery school developed even more in the years of independence. Products of such masters of pottery and ceramics as Ibrohimjon Komilov, Bobojon Nishanov, Hakimjan Sattorov, Rustamjon Usmanov, Alisher Nazirov, Sharofiddin Yusupov, Tokhirjon Khaydarov, continue to surprise connoisseurs.

– This international festival is of great importance in development of tourism, further increasing the flow of foreign tourists to our historic cities, wide dissemination of ceramic products, – said Abdusalom Sidikov, deputy khokim of Rishtan district.

A Japanese garden and a craft center are currently being organized in the district. The festival, which will last until June 24, is also being attended by guests from Turkey, Azerbaijan and France.
