Uzbekistan is trying to become a leading regional exporter of poultry products, creating new jobs and developing the sector for the processing and sale. This was stated by the Board of the Association “Parrandasanoat” during the signing of the London Memorandum of Understanding between the Association and the Anglo-Australian investment banking company Abacus Emerging Markets.
The Memorandum provides for cooperation aimed at increasing the production of poultry meat in Uzbekistan. The parties agreed on attracting international companies and local business partners, investors and new technologies to meet domestic demand, diversification of sources of poultry for local producers and increase the export potential of the industry.
The Administration of Abacus Emerging Markets believes that the poultry industry – one of the most dynamic sectors of agriculture in Uzbekistan. According to them, the country has all conditions for its further successful development.
Concerning the high interest of the parties and the national priorities in the development of domestic poultry, the signing of the memorandum will facilitate the introduction of new technologies and thereby increasing productivity.
