Presentation_economicAs part of “East Forum” held in Berlin, organized by the Administration of the Berlin city, the bank UniCredit, the Eastern Committee of German Economy and concern METRO Group, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany a presentation of economic and investment potential of Uzbekistan. It was attended by representatives of political, economic, business and the media in Germany.

During the event, participants were introduced to modern economic development of Uzbekistan, the measures taken in the country’s modernization and technological re-equipment of industrial enterprises, further improvement of the investment climate, as well as government programs aimed at the social and infrastructural development in the country.

The representatives of business circles of Germany were also informed about the prospects of the Free Industrial Economic Zone “Navoi” free industrial zone “Angren” and “Jizzakh”, benefits and privileges provided to foreign investors in these zones. Relevant information materials and brochures about the modern development of Uzbekistan were distributed.

The participants highly appreciated the dynamic development of the economy of Uzbekistan, within the Republic of profound structural reforms to create a favorable investment climate and opportunities for successful investment activity.

In an interview with the news agency “Jahon” some of the participants shared their views about Uzbekistan.

Kurt Thomas, the director of auditing and consulting firm Delloitte & Touche GmbH:

– I really liked the stand of Uzbekistan, which provides detailed information on its modern development, economic and investment opportunities, as well as culture and tourism potential of your country.

Taking into account the large economic and investment potential of Uzbekistan German firms and companies within the German-Uzbek Business Council wish to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with Uzbek partners.
