On June 28, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with construction of the airport at Tashkent – Eastern airfield.
It is envisaged to organize provision of civil (business) aviation services here by the Resolution of the President of June 30, 2017. During last year’s visit to the airfield, the Head of the state got acquainted with the project proposals for reconstruction of the structure.
Today, construction activity is underway at an active pace. It is planned to build 2 runways with a length of 4 kilometers each, hangars and aprons, as well as terminals capable of serving a thousand passengers per hour, including high-level delegations and business representatives.
The President noted that this airport is being built with an eye to the distant future, so it should turn out to be thoroughly thought-out, qualitative and safe.
