
On June 18, the President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Mohammad Abdul Hamid, accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Abdukhakimov, arrived in Samarkand city.
Khokim of Samarkand region E.Turdimov met the distinguished guest at Samarkand Railway Station.
President Mohammad Abdul Hamid visited the Memorial Complex named after Islam Karimov and honored the memory of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Surahs from the Quran were recited.
The delegation led by the President of Bangladesh visited Imam Bukhari complex and the International Research Center in Payarik district.

The guests were informed about large-scale construction and landscaping activities carried out in these complexes.
President Mohammad Abdul Hamid appreciated the attention paid in Uzbekistan by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to study and promote heritage of muhaddith, great scientists and thinkers, who made a great contribution to the development of the sacred religion of Islam.
The President of Bangladesh also visited the Registan complex, Amir Temur mausoleum, and other sights of the ancient city.
