The head of our state visited the Great National Assembly (parliament) of Turkey.
The Great National Assembly, set up on 23 April 1920, is the supreme legislative body of the Republic of Turkey.
In accordance with the outcomes of the 2015 elections, four political parties have their factions in the parliament. Speaker of the parliament is the representative of the Justice and Development Party Ismail Kahraman.

At the October 25 talks at the highest level, the importance of supporting inter-parliamentary cooperation was stressed through the exchange of visits and joint events. During the conversation, attention was paid to strengthening cooperation in this direction.
A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey.

This historical complex, built in the 15th century, remained the residence of representatives of the Ottoman dynasty for many centuries. In 1923 the palace became a museum. Currently, it stocks more than 65 thousand exhibits.

It was noted at the meeting that during the October 25 talks in Ankara, an objective assessment of the current state of bilateral cooperation was delivered, and priority directions of its development were outlined. The signing of more than 20 documents on cooperation in the areas of trade, industry, banking and financial, investment, tourism, freight, health, training, defense and others was highly appreciated by our countries.
Attention was paid to the implementation of these agreements, important areas for the development of cooperation among the ministries and other government agencies of the two countries. The sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.

The meeting participants noted the great importance of the documents signed between the two countries on the results of the highest- level talks between Uzbekistan and Turkey. It was also stressed that at the business forum of the two countries held in Istanbul on October 26, agreements were signed for the implementation of joint projects in the construction of large energy facilities and road infrastructure, the production of textiles, electrical equipment, building materials, organization of modern productions in food and agro-logistics centers.
The President of our country asked the opinion of business people about the conditions of doing business in Uzbekistan.
Turkish businessmen highly appreciated the economic reforms implemented in Uzbekistan under the leadership of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, emphasized that liberalization of the monetary system, simplification of visa procedures created favorable opportunities for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
Issues of further development of partnership between financial organizations, firms and companies of Uzbekistan and Turkey, expansion of mutual delivery of goods and rendering of services were discussed.
The state visit of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Turkey was completed. The meetings and negotiations that took place during the visit determined important prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey. The signed documents and the agreements reached will serve to fully strengthen the mutual relations of the two states and friendship between our peoples.
