President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with conditions created in Imam Eshon Muhammad mosque

The Head of our state, during the trip to Karakalpakstan on January 20-21 this year, visited the Imam Eshon Muhammad mosque of the city of Nukus and gave instructions on erecting here an Educational center for advanced training of imam-khatibs, a dormitory and a library, landscaping the territory of the mosque and construction of a wall, a bakery, a pond, a fountain, as well as creation of other amenities.

Over the past 11 months, large-scale construction and reconstruction activities has been carried out here. There is a representative office of Muslim Board of Uzbekistan in Karakalpakstan on the first floor of the administrative building of the mosque, all its rooms have been completely renovated. An information-resource center, two libraries are organized on the second floor. Underfloor heating system is established, the doors were replaced. The place for offering namaz, the dome of the mosque was reconstructed. A minaret, a pond, a bakery, parking for cars have been built near the mosque and other amenities were created. Decorative trees and flowers are planted.

In addition, an Educational center for advanced training of imam-khatibs has been built for 128 people next to the mosque. It is equipped with modern equipment.

The President spoke with aksakals and imam-khatibs.

We will create all necessary conditions for a profound study of life and spiritual heritage of our great ancestors. Such kind of spiritual and educational institutions visited by people should continue to be improved, in which people receive spiritual food, preserve them for future generations, said President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
