President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with modern greenhouses built in hydroponic method by “Sabo hamkor” LLC in Asaka district.
During the last year’s trip of the Head of the country to Andijan region, a presentation of project on organization of modern greenhouse was held. Accordingly, 2 greenhouses were organized on 5,8 hectares of land for growing bananas and tomatoes by intensive method with the help of loans worth 1.5 million dollars allocated by the district branch of Asaka Bank. According to the contract signed with “Asya Modern Serachilik” of Turkey, modern equipment has been installed in the greenhouse.
Another 500 thousand dollars were spent by “Sabo hamkor” LLC for this project worth 2 million dollars and it started operating in March 2018.
It is envisaged to harvest 300 tons of tomatoes on 1 hectare of land this year and export to neighboring countries. 5 thousand banana seedlings are being cultivated in the greenhouse on 2 hectares. In the first season it is expected to harvest 250-300 tons of banana. As a result of this project, more than 40 permanent jobs have been created.
The President inspected the greenhouse, where banana is grown as an experiment, gave recommendations on expansion of this modern greenhouse, processing production and creating storage conditions and increasing productivity.
The Head of the state was informed about cooling and stable climate irrigation system of the greenhouse, regulated by computer technology.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted the importance of such greenhouses in supplying population with high yield products at low prices all year round and increasing the volume of export of agricultural products.
