President visited “Amudaryo” children’s health camp in Termez

Last summer, a 200-seat children’s camp of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Uzbekistan was built and put into operation on the bank of Surkhandarya. Gifted students of general education schools and children with disabilities and socially needy families will rest and undergo rehabilitation course here.

Area of the camp is 6,2 hectares. There are four dormitories, an amphitheater, a dining room, a swimming pool, other buildings and structures equipped with all necessary equipment and inventory in this territory. In short, all necessary conditions have been created for meaningful recreation of children, classes in leisure clubs and consolidation of knowledge and skills.

A building at the entrance to the camp was built for meeting of children with their parents, where two phyto-bars, information and resource center, spirituality and enlightenment cabinet, study rooms are also located. Classes in English, fine arts, “Skilled hands”, computer literacy and others will be conducted by qualified specialists. Children will undergo physiotherapy, massage, phytotherapy in the medical department.

The Head of our state got acquainted with conditions created in the camp for rest, strengthening health, nutrition, children’s living.

Since March of this year, the camp will become a year-round. Here, students of 5-11 grades from all over the country who have won on subject Olympiads, international competitions and sports contests will rest and undergo recovery. The camp will receive thousand children during the summer holidays.

Currently, the camp has been transferred to the Union of Youth of Uzbekistan, later this camp is planned to be transformed into an international camp.
