Special short courses to prepare trainers for the regions started operating in Tashkent. After completion of the courses they will train primary school teachers of foreign languages to apply the advanced teaching methods.
The course is organized by the Ministry of Public Education and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education in collaboration with the Scientific and Practical Center for the Development of Innovative Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages at the Uzbek State University of World Languages, reports News agency Uzbekistan Today.
Training foreign languages from the first grade in secondary schools of Uzbekistan was introduced into the educational program two years ago. Graduates of higher educational institutions and practicing teachers got involved in the process. Experience has shown, since the mass training of foreign languages in primary schools is new for the country, and teachers need in the methodical support.
Representatives of the Scientific and Practical Center of the Development of Innovative Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages note that in the courses much attention is paid to the practical side of training. Unlike high school, training in primary school requires game approach, teachers should pay more attention to the children memorize new words.
Within the course the attendees receive detailed information on how to most effectively use multimedia technology.
