Prime Minister of India arrives in Uzbekistan

modi_in_uzbekistanPrime Minister of India Narendra Modi arrived in Uzbekistan with an official visit on 6 July 2015.

Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev welcomed Narendra Modi at Tashkent Airport, the official page of Narendra Modi at Facebook said.

Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov and the Mayor of Tashkent city Rahmonbek Usmanov also met the Indian Prime Minster at the airport.

In his twitter account, Modi wrote in English and Uzbek : “Hello Uzbekistan! I thank PM Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev for the warm welcome in Tashkent. Wonderful being here.”

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi will hold negotiations with the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov and other Uzbek officials. Current state and perspectives of the Indian relations, actual regional and international issues will be considered at the meetings and negotiations at high level.

In the result of the visit, it is planned to adopt joint statement of Uzbekistan and India and sign several inter-governmental and inter-departmental documents, directed at further strengthening multipronged bilateral cooperation.
