As reported by the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is getting acquainted with the course of construction and landscaping activities in Tashkent.

The Head of the country visited Yunusabad district and got acquainted with the second stage of Tashkent Metro line construction activities that is being carried out in this district.

Concrete works with a length of 305 meters have been completed for laying the metro tunnel and 330 prefabricated reinforced concrete structures have been installed. More than 200 workers and engineers are involved in the activity. Modern technologies from Germany and China are being used. The line with a length of 2.9 kilometers is scheduled to be commissioned in 2019.

The goal of all our efforts is to create convenience for people, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev. It is necessary to ensure complementarity of metro lines and bus routes, monitor the use of public transport services by passengers and optimize its routes on the basis of analysis. It is necessary to take measures on reducing the cost of travel by increasing the number of passengers.

Information on overground metro that is being built in Tashkent was provided. The President gave instructions on improving construction activities, using lightweight but durable building materials, landscaping territories under the overpasses, introduction of additional services.
