The hokim (governor) of Andijon region, Shuhratbek Abdurahmonov, has conducted a dialogue with entrepreneurs who expressed a desire to set up private medical establishments. He also familiarized himself with their projects.
During the conversation, there was a detailed discussion about important tasks relating to ensuring the implementation of a Presidential resolution dated 29 December 2017 on creating additional conditions for the further development of private medical establishments.
New projects in the medical sphere and ways of solving problems impeding their implementation were also discussed.
The implementation of 73 of the 112 projects of those entrepreneurs envisages the reconstruction of empty buildings under state ownership. 19 medical centres will be working in privately-owned buildings, and 10 will be working in rented premises. Entrepreneurs asked for land allocation to carry out 12 medical projects.
It was said during the conversation that issues relating to private medical establishments’ choice of services, the provision of medical diagnostic equipment and medical treatment facilities and the provision of qualified personnel should be resolved in accordance with modern requirements. Many problems hindering the implementation of new medical projects were solved.
At private medical establishments that are to be set up in the region, various kinds of medical services will be provided, and about 1100 new jobs will be created.
